About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the full lifecycle of U.S. Government-funded contracts and subcontracts, from capture and proposal support through negotiation, execution, administration, and closeout
  • Advise on compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), other agency supplements, and Cadence corporate policy
  • Support proposal development, including reviewing solicitations, identifying problematic terms, and preparing exceptions and clarification requests
  • Support legal with contract negotiation of prime contracts, subcontracts, teaming agreements, NDAs, and related agreements
  • Partner with legal, sales, finance, programs, and other stakeholders to align contractual terms with business objectives and delivery commitments
  • Advise internal stakeholders on contract strategy, regulatory and corporate policy compliance requirements, organizational conflict of interest mitigation, and risk management
  • Interface with senior leadership, sales executives, program managers, and contracting officers to resolve issues during capture, proposal development, contract negotiation, performance, and closeout
  • Identify and mitigate contract-related risks
  • Coordinate government contract functions across multiple complex deals and stakeholder groups

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience with government contracts, including overseeing complex proposals and negotiations
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • Broad knowledge of the FAR and DFARS, including extensive experience with FAR Part 12 contracting and familiarity with data rights
  • Detailed-oriented, excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Must be a U.S. person as defined by 8 U.S.C. §1101(a)(20) or 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)
  • Experience in technical software and/or electronics industry (preferred)
  • Expertise in FAR Part 15 and DFARS Part 227 (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Other Transaction Agreements, Broad Agency Announcements, the CHIPS Act, and other similar non-standard U.S. government matters (preferred)
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance (preferred)
