About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Learn and perform preventive maintenance tasks on simulators and associated simulator systems
  • Assist in diagnosing and correcting routine problems on simulators and associated systems
  • Perform pre-flight and post-flight tasks on designated simulators
  • Perform basic visual alignments
  • Run automatic Qualification Test Guide (QTG)
  • Utilize the maintenance management system to record and track maintenance activities
  • Complete all designated training activities
  • Assist with refurbishment and hardware modifications
  • Learn and comply with CAE’s quality management system
  • Provide customer service support and address customer needs in a timely manner
  • Perform logistics duties, including parts receipt, repair, and testing/validation
  • Perform housekeeping functions to maintain simulators as required
  • Perform required administrative tasks

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2-year technical degree or equivalent related training
  • 1 year of simulator-related experience in electronics/avionics, automated systems, or computer networking repair and troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting prints and schematics
  • Knowledge of analog and digital theory
  • Basic skills in operating test equipment
  • Basic skills in soldering and circuit board repair
  • Some knowledge of PCs and MS Office tools and suite
  • Able to travel (less than 10%)
  • Ability to constantly ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles
  • Ability to occasionally remain in stationary positions
  • Ability to constantly adjust or move objects up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to constantly communicate with others to exchange information
  • Ability to constantly perform repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, or fingers
  • Eligibility to work in the United States
