About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collaborate with professional and non-professional accounting staff
  • Comply with Caesars accounting policies, procedures, and control framework
  • Apply US GAAP requirements to daily tasks
  • Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual accounting processes
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations and research and resolve reconciling items
  • Prepare monthly deliverables, including roll-forward schedules, financial reporting support schedules, and legal/regulatory reporting
  • Perform analytical work under limited supervision using basic accounting principles
  • Contribute to a teamwork- and respect-oriented work environment
  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Assist with identifying process improvements and recommending solutions
  • Provide feedback to leadership on people, processes, technology, and compliance
  • Comply with accounting and capital policies for capital asset transactions and related controls
  • Maintain capital projects, review expenditures for proper classification, and prepare invoice accruals
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • 1-3 years of accounting-related experience
  • 0-1 year of supervisor experience
  • BA/BS degree in accounting
  • Prior experience with Oracle or similar ERP system and fixed asset accounting system or subledger is preferred
  • Gaming industry experience preferred
  • Organized, analytical, and detail oriented
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet assigned deadlines
  • Ability to adapt to new circumstances and support management in communicating changes positively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with team members and department leaders
  • Ability to understand processes and issues and assist in developing solutions
  • Must be a team player in a professional environment
  • Understanding of Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) and SOX requirements
  • Intermediate-level Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience assisting with projects
