Key responsibilities & impact

Build productive business relationships with senior organizational leaders and refine analytics requests
Identify business opportunities and drive their realization through analytics and creative solutions
Help junior analysts prioritize analyses based on business and profit impact
Conduct and oversee rigorous analytics to improve profitability, operational processes, and customer service
Identify and evaluate revenue growth opportunities, resource optimization, investment mix, competitive market dynamics, customer behavior, and pricing optimization
Ensure junior analysts' analyses are rigorous and accurate
Distill large datasets into actionable insights and recommendations guiding decisions and strategies
Develop presentation materials for senior management and communicate findings clearly in verbal and written formats
Assist junior analysts with structuring analytics, executing analyses, and developing senior-management presentation materials
Help drive discussions with senior clients and develop, implement, and evaluate strategic projects
Design and deliver reporting that gives senior leaders visibility into trends and business performance drivers
Use SQL, R, Tableau, Google BigQuery, and Python to develop analytics and reporting tools
Lead integration of new technologies and tools into department processes
Identify and execute process and reporting improvements that drive material efficiencies
Lead or contribute to large-scale cross-Analytics team projects
Drive training, onboarding, and development of junior analysts in technical skills, tools, processes, critical thinking, analytical techniques, and business acumen

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college
3+ years of professional work (or equivalent experience)
Demonstrated business acumen for the Casino industry and ability to articulate fundamental drivers of business performance
Very strong quantitative and analytical skills with a track record of driving measurable business outcomes
Advanced SQL skills
Ideally, proficiency in one or more of R, VBA, SAS, or Python
Experience working with Google BigQuery
Experience leading projects using web-based data visualization tools such as Tableau or Microstrategy
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Exceptional critical thinking, problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills
Ability to communicate complex analyses, conclusions, and recommendations to business partners and influence decisions and strategies
Strong interpersonal, communication, and consensus-building skills
Ability to develop and manage relationships with senior stakeholders
Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize work for junior analysts, meet deadlines, and deliver accurate, high-quality work
Demonstrated leadership skills including project management, time management, coaching, and innovation
Ability to motivate the team and promote teamwork
Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity
Preferred: 5+ years of professional work (or equivalent experience)
Preferred: Bachelor's degree from a top-tier program in a relevant field
Preferred: Graduate Degree in a relevant field or equivalent technical field
Preferred: Experience applying statistical analysis and test/control to the casino business
Preferred: Hyperion experience
Preferred: Prior gaming/hospitality industry and analytics experience
