About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Interact with senior leaders to develop and refine analysis requests
Identify business opportunities and pursue them through analytics and creative solutions
Conduct rigorous analytics to improve profitability, operational processes, and customer service
Evaluate revenue growth opportunities, resource optimization, investment mix, competitive market dynamics, customer behavior, and pricing optimization
Distill large datasets into actionable insights and recommendations
Develop presentation materials for senior management and communicate findings verbally and in writing
Assist junior analysts with structuring and executing analytics and developing presentation materials
Participate in discussions with senior clients and help drive strategic project development, implementation, and evaluation
Develop and support reporting that gives senior leaders visibility into trends and business performance drivers
Use SQL, R, Tableau, Google BigQuery, and Python to develop analytics and reporting tools
Integrate new technologies and tools into department processes
Propose and implement process and reporting efficiency improvements
Lead projects requiring input from other Analytics team members and contribute to cross-team projects
Train, onboard, and develop junior analysts in technical skills, tools, and processes

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college
2+ years of professional work (or equivalent experience)
Demonstrated business acumen for the casino industry and ability to articulate fundamental drivers of business performance
Advanced skills in querying, analyzing, and visualizing large data sets
Proficiency in SQL and ideally one or more of R, VBA, SAS, or Python
Experience working with Google BigQuery
Experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Experience applying statistical analysis and test/control to the casino business
Ability to articulate complex information and analyses to varied audiences
Ability to quickly learn relevant database applications and software
Ability to interact with and influence key stakeholders, manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and deliver accurate, high-quality work
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity
Graduate degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics/Statistics, Hotel Management, or an equivalent technical field is listed as an additional qualification
Hyperion experience is a plus
Prior gaming/hospitality industry and analytics experience
