About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with architects, interior designers, design firms, builders, developers, and general contractors
- Act as a trusted advisor by demonstrating in-depth knowledge of products and services
- Develop and implement sales strategies and programs to grow market share, increase product penetration, and achieve revenue goals
- Oversee and manage a portfolio of builder accounts
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory
- Collaborate with product development, marketing, and operations teams
- Develop sales forecasts, set performance goals, and track progress against targets
- Maintain deep product knowledge and provide customer guidance and support
- Report sales performance, market conditions, and customer feedback to the Regional Sales Director
- Provide training and product demonstrations to builder partners, developers, and general contractors
- Travel within the assigned territory to meet partners, attend industry events, and support regional sales initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field; relevant industry experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience within the building industry
- Experience working with regional custom home builders, multifamily and commercial projects
- Stone Industry experience preferred
- Strong understanding of sales processes, market dynamics, and builder segment needs
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with builder partners
- Ability to develop and execute sales strategies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical abilities and data-driven decision-making capacity
- Ability to resolve customer issues and challenges promptly and effectively
- Ability to travel regionally up to 75% of the time
- Ability to attend and conduct presentations
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
- Lifting or moving up to 10 lbs may be required
