About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage 2 Product Designers
- Set goals, provide feedback, coach team members, and support career growth
- Identify designers’ strengths and development areas and create development paths
- Build a culture of rigor, ownership, and continuous improvement
- Represent design’s voice and impact across the organization
- Define, plan, and execute design discovery processes
- Craft problem statements, develop hypotheses, and create rapid prototypes for user testing
- Shape features between discovery and delivery
- Ensure designs are platform-agnostic, brand-compliant, and technically feasible
- Own design hand-offs and provide engineers with implementation-ready specifications
- Incorporate user needs and business objectives into product and team designs
- Deliver and review high-fidelity designs, complex user flows, and interactive prototypes
- Contribute to and evolve the global Design System across iOS, Android, and Web
- Partner with the Analyst and User Researcher to integrate insights
- Assess and improve design-team rituals, tools, and processes
- Introduce and champion AI tools for research synthesis, ideation, prototyping, and QA
- Strengthen the design team for Cafeyn and Readly platforms serving 2M+ users across 15 geographies
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years of experience in Product Design
- Ideally experience in high-growth B2C environments handling millions of users across mobile apps
- At least one experience managing or leading a Product Design team
- Direct people-management experience, including setting goals, giving feedback, and helping designers grow
- Mastery of the double-diamond design process
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, facilitate brainstorming, and turn insights into prototypes
- Advanced proficiency with Figma, including scalable components and high-fidelity prototypes
- Understanding of mobile development constraints and production-ready design systems
- Comfort using AI tools for design workflows
- Ability to turn complex features into clear narratives for users and stakeholders
- Ability to discuss conversion funnels, A/B test results, and technical-debt trade-offs
- Autonomy in identifying user-journey friction points and proposing solutions
- Excellent communication and constructive-feedback skills
- Fluent in French and English, including presenting complex design rationales to international stakeholders
