About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Guide the technical vision for one or more products and projects over the medium to long term
- Ensure scalable, resilient architecture aligned with business and technology objectives
- Define the technical vision for products and lead cross-team initiatives and foundational improvements
- Design and define the architecture of complex systems, considering scalability, security, and fault tolerance
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies through cost-benefit and impact analyses
- Participate in priority projects from design through implementation, launch, and refinement
- Lead the decomposition of monoliths into microservices and coordinate the transition across teams
- Define and document architectural standards for APIs, service-to-service communication, and data persistence
- Reduce platform complexity and raise code quality standards
- Embed security from the outset (security by design), identifying and mitigating risks
- Manage risks and technical debt by breaking projects into smaller releases
- Provide technical expertise during critical moments and anticipate potential issues
- Automate and improve development practices, delivering consistent releases without negatively impacting users
Requirements

- Experience with Design Patterns and Enterprise Integration Patterns
- Experience modeling data for relational, NoSQL, and graph databases
- Proficiency in deployment strategies, including Blue/Green and Canary deployments, as well as CI/CD pipelines
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi
- Proven experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Proficiency in observability, including logs, metrics, and tracing, as well as resilience practices
- Knowledge of Chaos Engineering and API Gateways
- Ability to lead technical vision and influence organizational decisions
- Ability to negotiate technical and business trade-offs
- Assertive communication with technical and non-technical teams
- Product mindset and a pragmatic approach to delivering value
