About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop web and mobile applications using modern frontend technologies, prioritizing maintainability, reusability, and user experience
  • Review code produced by the team
  • Participate in the technical specification of new features
  • Ensure code quality through unit and integration testing
  • Use AI tools such as Claude and Copilot to accelerate delivery, review code, and solve problems
  • Serve as the technical reference for the Admin interfaces used by Caju's internal operators
  • Architect and evolve the Admin frontend in React and TypeScript, including components, state management, routing, performance, and accessibility
  • Define and maintain UI standards and a reusable component library in partnership with Product Design
  • Analyze frontend deliverables from domain teams, recommending component, architecture, and performance standards
  • Assess whether interface-related requests fall within the scope of Admin
  • Define API contracts with the backend and contribute Node.js code when necessary
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and AI-assisted frontend reviews
  • Monitor observability, production errors, perceived performance, and Core Web Vitals; take ownership of interface-related incidents
  • Ensure automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, along with strong security and privacy practices
  • Write and advocate for frontend RFCs and plan smaller releases using feature flags
  • Reduce complexity and technical debt in existing interfaces
  • Understand business and operational rules to create interfaces that reduce effort and errors
  • Write technical documentation on components, architecture, and contribution guidelines
  • Mentor Mid-Level and Junior Engineers and participate in recruiting
  • Work in partnership with the Tech Lead, Tech Manager, Product Manager, and Product Design

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience as a Senior Software Engineer, with a primary focus on frontend development and experience with complex web applications in production
  • Advanced proficiency in React and TypeScript, including medium- and large-scale application architecture, state management, and component organization
  • Strong knowledge of frontend design patterns and the ability to identify design smells in third-party code
  • Experience building or maintaining design systems and reusable component libraries
  • Experience with interface performance, including profiling, rendering optimization, and load performance, as well as accessibility
  • Experience with automated frontend testing using Jest, Testing Library, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent tools
  • Experience consuming REST APIs and implementing authentication using OAuth and JWT; familiarity with Node.js to collaborate with the cell's backend
  • Experience with CI/CD, frontend observability using Sentry, Datadog RUM, or equivalent tools, and feature-flag-based rollout strategies
  • Daily use of AI assistants in software development, such as Claude Code, Claude Agent SDK, or equivalent, with sound judgment to review and validate generated code and technical accountability for what reaches production
  • Willingness to understand how the business is organized, the core operations, and the roles of people who use the Admin platform
  • Interest in high-intensity work interfaces with large volumes of data and critical actions, prioritizing clarity and error prevention
  • Ability to communicate with Product Managers, Product Design, Operations, and domain teams, understanding the problem before proposing a solution
  • Clear written and verbal communication and negotiation skills
  • Critical thinking and the ability to challenge requests and proposed solutions
  • Ability to influence others and build consensus around frontend standards
  • Technical ownership of frontend decisions, escalating to the Tech Lead and Tech Manager when necessary
  • Pragmatic approach
