About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary technical support contact for onsite and remote employees
- Troubleshoot access, authentication, MFA, SSO, VPN, remote access, connectivity, hardware, software, printers, scanners, mobile devices, peripherals, conference room technology, audiovisual equipment, and Teams meetings
- Diagnose and resolve issues involving Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, firm software, and business systems
- Coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers and manage escalations through resolution
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware and software
- Maintain support records, document standard operating procedures, and maintain the public IT knowledge base
- Administer user accounts and permissions in Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure, and firm applications
- Support Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, user access, and licensing
- Support software deployments, hardware installations, upgrades, patch management, endpoint support, inventory, and asset tracking
- Coordinate technology onboarding and offboarding, including equipment, account provisioning, licensing, access changes, recovery, and termination of access
- Conduct technology orientation and training for employees
- Develop user guides, training materials, and knowledge base documentation
- Support software implementations, technology rollouts, and employee communications
- Assist with technology projects, office technology initiatives, equipment deployments, and upgrades across multiple locations
- Participate in testing, documentation, and implementation of new systems
- Recommend improvements to efficiency, security, and employee technology experience
- Support cybersecurity controls, endpoint protection, MFA, access management, security awareness, vulnerability remediation, compliance, disaster recovery, and business continuity activities
- Travel between Calibre office locations for support, training, and technology deployments as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- 3–5 years of proven experience providing technical support and systems administration
- Experience supporting Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 environments
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams
- Experience supporting remote users and multiple office locations
- Understanding of networking technologies and principles
- Experience troubleshooting network printers, scanners, and endpoint devices
- Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Must have valid work authorization for employment in the United States
- Valid U.S. Driver's License required
- Ability to lift and carry technology equipment weighing up to 40 pounds
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Preferred: Experience supporting accounting or professional services firms
- Preferred: Experience with CCH ProSystem fx Engagement, CCH Axcess, QuickBooks, or similar business applications
- Preferred: Experience developing training materials and delivering employee technology training
- Preferred: Microsoft, CompTIA, or other industry certifications
- Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Azure and endpoint management solutions
