About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build AI features into Candid Health’s revenue cycle management platform
Identify opportunities where AI/ML techniques can deliver business value
Research industry best practices and leverage state-of-the-art technologies and tools
Translate initial AI/ML prototypes into scalable, deployable foundations across the customer base
Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to automate and scale complex products and workflows
Work on claim submission, resubmission, and workflow optimization
Drive Candid’s AI roadmap and influence the broader product roadmap
Architect infrastructure for AI across the product
Structure and format data to support AI development
Establish scalable and extensible processes for model training, testing, and monitoring
Ensure AI systems meet high security standards
Explain complex ideas clearly in person and in writing; teach others

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s or Master’s of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, or a similar degree
8+ years of experience building software of significant scale and complexity
5+ years of professional AI engineering experience, preferably applying it to real-world solutions
Experience building systems that leverage ML technologies, including specific NLP models
Knowledge of appropriate AI/ML tools, frameworks, and libraries
Understanding of tradeoffs between deterministic ML and non-deterministic LLM approaches
Ability to design architectures and patterns that deliver enduring value and scale
Experience making project-scope tradeoffs
Experience with Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, PostgreSQL, Metabase, Terraform, and Python is a plus, but not required
Legally authorized to work in the United States
