About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage, maintain, and supervise day-to-day retail operations at the store
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager and company management
  • Motivate, inspire, and support sales associate team members
  • Provide positive and constructive feedback to support professional growth
  • Explain work procedures and policies and ensure team compliance
  • Follow written SOPs as policies and regulations change
  • Address team member questions, suggestions, concerns, and conflicts
  • Lead by example in a high-volume retail store
  • Implement changes based on customer and team member feedback
  • Track daily employee and store sales
  • Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Organize required reporting, paperwork, and state tracking-system records
  • Assist with inventory, sales, and compliance audits
  • Perform daily opening and closing procedures
  • Keep the sales floor adequately stocked
  • Coordinate inventory audits and reconciliations
  • Log and dispose of expired, damaged, and returned products according to regulations
  • Assist with receiving AGCO/wholesale deliveries and verify invoice accuracy
  • Provide daily correspondence via email and manager’s log
  • Comply with HR policies, including confidentiality and non-disclosure requirements
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • CannSell license from AGCO
  • Clean Criminal Background check
  • 4-5+ years of retail management experience in retail
  • Possess or ability to obtain Cannabis Retail Manager License from AGCO by providing personal disclosure and details to AGCO within the first month of employment
  • Valid First Aid certification is considered an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience managing in a unionized environment
  • Sound knowledge of cannabis plants and different cannabis strains
  • Knowledge of standards of cannabis retail stores set by AGCO
  • Knowledge of local and state laws and regulations pertaining to retail cannabis
  • Must successfully pass an extensive background check
  • Ability to work nights, holidays, weekends, and different locations
