About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist store management in supervising and facilitating daily store operations
Oversee Store Manager responsibilities during their absence
Assist with interviews, promotions, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions when requested
Provide direction, guidance, and instruction to store associates
Ensure store conditions meet established standards
Assist in creating weekly staffing schedules when requested
Liaise with store departments to convey information and communicate expectations
Greet and assist customers while modeling exemplary conduct
Ensure company policies and relevant legislation are followed
Handle and escalate customer complaints as necessary
Ensure health, safety, and security regulations and standards are met
Oversee and assist with inventory management
Perform other duties as required

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must have valid SellSafe Certification
Minimum of 3 years of work experience in the retail industry required
Minimum 2 years of work experience in a supervisory role in a retail environment required
A valid First Aid certification is considered an asset
Demonstrated service orientation required
Excellent time management and prioritizing skills required
Demonstrated ability to train and motivate staff required
Skills to monitor and assess staff performance required
Basic office administration skills required
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite
Highly effective teamwork skills
Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with individuals at all organizational levels
Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
Well-defined sense of diplomacy
Excellent teamwork and team-building skills
Thorough understanding of applicable health and safety legislation
Professional, responsive, and positive work attitude essential
Ability to work any shift based on business needs, Monday to Sunday
Ability to work nights, holidays, weekends, and at different locations
