About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Greet customers as they enter the store
Manage login ID on the Point of Sale (POS) terminal
Manage cash and product floats, including signing in and verifying cannabis floats at the beginning and end of shifts
Create an educational and informative customer experience
Recommend cannabis flower, seeds and cannabis/smoking accessories
Help the Store Manager open and close the store according to standard operating procedures
Report suspicious behavior or abusive customers to the Store or Assistant Store Manager
Perform general housekeeping, including vacuuming/sweeping floors and cleaning counters and glass display cabinets
ID customers according to the Cannabis Retail Store Handbook

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must have or be able to obtain CannaSell SK certification
Must provide a copy of clean Criminal Background Check prior to start date
Valid First Aid certification is considered an asset
Experience in sales and customer service preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Team player mentality
Ability to compute basic mathematical problems
Attention to detail
Ability to work any shift based on business needs, Monday to Sunday
Ability to work nights, holidays, weekends and at different locations
Passion and excitement for cannabis and all of its derivatives
Desire to educate customers and the community about cannabis benefits without giving medical advice
