About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Greet customers and discuss the type, quality, and quantity of merchandise or services required
Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge
Replace used stock, rotate current stock, and ensure satisfactory inventory levels
Participate in merchandising and promotional activities for accessories
Ensure store conditions are consistently upheld to established standards
Adapt communication style to deliver information effectively to a range of individuals
Maintain professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity to portray the company positively
Attempt to calm irate customers by explaining situations and resolving issues
Take customer orders and prepare products for purchase
Ensure customer satisfaction with issue resolution and the resolution process
Assist with merchandise displays and inventory management
Ensure accuracy in transactions, inventory, and procedures
Participate in store maintenance and housekeeping
Work with management and other employees to maximize store sales and in-store presence
Answer internal and external phone calls and transfer calls appropriately
Adhere to health, safety, and security regulations and required standards
Work any shift depending on store operations
ID customers as required by the Cannabis Retail Store Handbook
Abide by company policies and procedures as directed by Store/Assistant Managers

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must provide a copy of completed Selling It Right - Cannabis Retail Certification
Must provide a copy of clean Criminal Background Check prior to start date
Minimum 2-3 years of Retail Experience in sales and customer service required
A valid First Aid certification is considered an asset
Must have knowledge of and passion for cannabis and accessories
Must be available for shift work any time according to business needs, Monday to Sunday
Ability to work nights, holidays and weekends and different locations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Team player mentality
Ability to compute basic mathematical problems
Attention to detail
Desire to educate customers and the community about the benefits associated with cannabis use without giving medical advice
