About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Greet customers and discuss merchandise or service requirements
Maintain product and service knowledge
Replace and rotate stock and maintain satisfactory inventory levels
Participate in merchandising and promotional activities for accessories
Maintain store conditions to established standards
Adapt communication style to deliver information effectively
Handle irate customers and resolve issues professionally
Take customer orders and prepare products for purchase
Assist with merchandise displays and inventory management
Ensure accuracy in transactions, inventory, and procedures
Perform store maintenance and general housekeeping
Work with management and employees to maximize store sales and in-store presence
Answer and transfer external and internal phone calls
Adhere to health, safety, security, company policies, and required standards
ID customers as required by the Cannabis Retail Store Handbook

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must provide a copy of completed Selling It Right - Cannabis Retail Certification
Must provide a copy of clean Criminal Background Check prior to start date
Minimum 2-3 years of retail experience in sales and customer service required
Valid First Aid certification considered an asset
Knowledge of and passion for cannabis and accessories
Must be available for shift work any time according to business needs, Monday to Sunday
Ability to work nights, holidays, weekends, and at different locations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Team player mentality
Ability to compute basic mathematical problems
Attention to detail
Desire to educate customers and the community about cannabis benefits without giving medical advice
