About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist store management in supervising and facilitating daily store operations
Oversee Store Manager responsibilities when the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager is absent
Assist with personnel management while on shift and resolve customer service issues
Provide direction, guidance and instruction to store associates
Maintain store conditions according to established standards
Assist with staffing levels when requested
Act as sales and customer service leader and role model in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager
Greet and assist customers while modeling exemplary conduct
Ensure company policies and relevant legislation are upheld by staff
Handle and escalate customer complaints as appropriate
Ensure health, safety and security regulations and standards are met during the shift
Achieve sales targets and store-level KPIs
Ensure employees actively pursue sales goals
Oversee and assist with inventory management and be accountable for inventory processes on shift

Requirements

What you’ll need

Valid SellSafe Certification required
Completion of high school and college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training required
Minimum of 2 years work experience in the retail industry required; cannabis industry preferred
Demonstrated sales and service orientation
Excellent time management and prioritizing skills
Ability to train and motivate staff
Basic office administration skills
High proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite
Effective teamwork skills
Effective verbal and written communication with individuals at all organizational levels
Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
Thorough understanding of applicable health and safety legislation
Ability to work nights, holidays, weekends and different locations
A valid First Aid certification is considered an asset
