About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist store management in supervising and facilitating daily store operations
Oversee Store Manager responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager/Assistant Store Manager
Assist with personnel management and resolve customer service issues
Provide direction, guidance and instruction to store associates
Maintain store conditions according to established standards
Assist with staffing levels when requested
Act as sales and customer service leader/role model in the absence of the Store Manager/Assistant Store Manager
Greet and assist customers while modeling exemplary conduct
Ensure company policies and relevant legislation are followed by staff
Handle and escalate customer complaints as necessary
Ensure health, safety and security regulations and standards are met during shifts
Achieve sales targets and store-level KPIs
Ensure employees actively pursue sales goals
Oversee and assist with inventory management and shift inventory processes

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must have valid Selling It Right certification to work in a retail cannabis store
Must provide a copy of clean Criminal Background Check prior to start date
Completion of high school and College/CEGEP/vocational or technical training required
Minimum of 2 years work experience in the retail industry required; cannabis industry preferred
Valid First Aid certification considered an asset
Demonstrated sales and service orientation
Excellent time management and prioritizing skills
Demonstrated ability to train and motivate staff
Ability to monitor and lead by example
Basic office administration skills
High proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite
Highly effective teamwork skills
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with individuals at all organizational levels
Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
Well-defined sense of diplomacy
Excellent teamwork and team building skills
Must be available for shift work Monday to Sunday according to business needs
Ability to work nights, holidays, weekends and at different locations
Thorough understanding of applicable health and safety legislation
Professional, responsive and positive work attitude
