About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Recruit, coach, and train talent in the cannabis retail industry
- Ensure the team educates and informs customers
- Deliver a knowledgeable, genuine, and exceptional customer experience
- Keep the store inviting, spotless, and well merchandised
- Provide product expertise and staff training and development
- Create a welcoming environment and engage positively with local communities
- Use problem-solving and collaboration to achieve operational goals
- Develop and implement processes and procedures
- Oversee inventory and provide feedback on product trends and customer needs
- Maintain corporate visual merchandising standards
- Assist with audits and SLGA requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must already have, or be able to quickly obtain, Smart Choices Cannabis certification
- Must provide a copy of clean Criminal Background Check prior to start date
- Demonstrated leadership skills and at least 1–2 years’ retail supervisory experience
- Valid First Aid certification is considered an asset
- Experience working with similar brands/products is an asset
- Ability to work nights, holidays, weekends, and different locations
- Ability to develop and train staff through positive coaching and feedback
- Strong organization and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Flexible schedule covering weekdays, weekends, and evenings
- Passion for customer service excellence
- MS Office suite
- POS expertise
- Post-secondary education in a related field
- Demonstrated abilities in visual planning and merchandising
