About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist store management in supervising and facilitating daily store operations
  • Oversee Store Manager responsibilities in the absence of the SM/ASM
  • Assist with personnel management and resolve customer service issues
  • Provide direction, guidance and instruction to store associates
  • Maintain store conditions to established standards
  • Assist with staffing levels when requested
  • Act as sales and customer service leader/role model in the absence of SM/ASM
  • Greet and assist customers while modeling exemplary conduct
  • Ensure company policies and relevant legislation are followed
  • Handle customer complaints and escalate when necessary
  • Ensure health, safety and security regulations and standards are met on shift
  • Achieve sales targets and store-level KPIs
  • Ensure employees actively pursue sales goals
  • Oversee and assist with inventory management and shift inventory processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must have valid Selling It Right certification to work in a retail cannabis store
  • Must provide a copy of clean Criminal Background Check prior to start date
  • Completion of high school and College/CEGEP/vocational or technical training required
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience in the retail industry required; Cannabis industry preferred
  • A valid First Aid certification is considered an asset
  • Demonstrated sales and service orientation
  • Excellent time management and prioritizing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to train and motivate staff
  • Skills to monitor and lead by example
  • Basic office administration skills
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite
  • Highly effective teamwork skills
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with individuals at all organizational levels
  • Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
  • Well-defined sense of diplomacy
  • Excellent teamwork and team building skills
  • Must be available for shift work any time according to business needs, Monday to Sunday
