About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage daily operations and profitability according to established goals and business objectives
  • Manage staff, customer satisfaction, product presentation, inventory, seasonal changes, and promotional activities
  • Greet and assist customers while modeling exemplary conduct
  • Address and resolve customer complaints professionally
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulations
  • Maintain stock and conduct scheduled inventory counts
  • Increase sales, expand markets, and promote the business
  • Verify invoices, packaging slips, and expenditures
  • Ensure merchandise is presented neatly and priced correctly
  • Make purchasing decisions involving volume-based discounts
  • Prepare sales, staff, productivity, and inventory reports
  • Hold staff accountable for cash box deficits
  • Balance sales, record receipts, track daily revenue, make bank deposits, and reconcile bank statements
  • Coordinate ordering and receiving of cannabis and accessories
  • Supervise all staff and coordinate work for productive operations
  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Valid SellSafe Certification is mandatory
  • Completion of high school and College/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a supervisory role in a retail environment
  • Minimum of 3+ years of work experience in a full-capacity managerial role
  • Proven excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent time management and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to train and motivate staff
  • Skills to monitor and assess staff performance
  • Basic office administration skills
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite
  • Effective teamwork skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to plan and organize work effectively and ensure completion
  • Diplomacy, negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills
  • Ability to learn and adapt to sales software quickly
  • Ability to work any shift based on business needs, Monday to Sunday
  • Ability to work nights, holidays, weekends, and at different locations
  • Professional, responsive, and positive work attitude
  • Meticulous records maintenance skills
  • First Aid certification considered an asset
  • Management experience preferred
