About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage daily operations and profitability according to established goals and business objectives
Manage staff and ensure productive operations at all hours
Greet and assist customers while modeling exemplary conduct
Address customer complaints professionally and achieve positive resolutions
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulations
Maintain adequate stock through inventory management
Conduct scheduled inventory counts and provide inventory reports
Increase sales, expand markets, and promote the business within provided guidelines
Verify invoices against packing slips and track expenditures
Maintain neat merchandise presentation and correct pricing
Make purchasing decisions for large quantities with volume-based discounts
Provide sales, staff, and productivity reports to management
Hold staff accountable for cash box deficits
Balance sales, print and record receipts, and track daily revenue
Make daily bank deposits and reconcile bank statements
Coordinate and execute ordering and receiving of cannabis and accessories
Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must have CannaSell Certification
Minimum of 2 years work experience in the retail industry
Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a supervisory role in a retail environment
A valid First Aid certification is considered an asset
Management experience preferred
Proven excellent customer service skills
Excellent time management and prioritizing skills
Demonstrated ability to train and motivate staff
Skills to monitor and assess staff performance
Basic office administration skills
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite
Highly effective teamwork skills
Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
Politically and culturally sensitive
Able to plan and organize work effectively and ensure its completion
Solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills
Ability to learn and adapt to sales software quickly
Demonstrated ability to implement PR and advertising campaigns
A professional, responsive, and positive work attitude is essential
