About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage the daily operations and profitability of the retail cannabis establishment
Greet and assist customers while modeling exemplary conduct
Address and resolve customer complaints professionally
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulations
Manage inventory, conduct scheduled inventory counts, and provide inventory reports
Increase sales, expand markets, and promote the business to meet goals
Verify invoices, packaging slips, and expenditures
Maintain neat merchandise presentation and accurate pricing
Make purchasing decisions involving large quantities and volume discounts
Provide sales, staff, and productivity reports to management
Hold staff accountable for cash box deficits
Balance sales, print and record receipts, and track daily revenue
Make daily bank deposits and reconcile bank statements
Coordinate and execute ordering and receiving of cannabis and accessories
Supervise all staff and coordinate work to ensure productive operations
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must have valid SellSafe Certification
Completion of high school and College/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Minimum of 5 years work experience in a supervisory role in a retail environment
Minimum 3+ years of work experience in a managerial role in full capacity
Proven excellent customer service skills
Excellent time management and prioritizing skills
Demonstrated ability to train and motivate staff
Skills to monitor and assess staff performance
Basic office administration skills
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite
Highly effective teamwork skills
Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
Politically and culturally sensitive
Able to plan and organize work effectively and ensure its completion
Well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills
Ability to learn and adapt to sales software quickly
Ability to work any shift based on business needs, Monday to Sunday
Ability to work nights, holidays, weekends, and at different locations
Professional, responsive, and positive work attitude
