About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage the daily operations and profitability of the establishment according to set goals and business objectives
Manage staff, customer satisfaction, product presentation, inventory, seasonal changes and promotional activities
Greet and assist customers while modeling exemplary conduct
Address customer complaints professionally and provide positive resolutions
Ensure compliance with health, safety and security regulations and required standards
Maintain adequate stock through efficient inventory management
Conduct scheduled inventory counts and provide inventory reports
Increase sales, expand markets and promote the business to meet goals
Verify invoices against packing slips and track expenditures
Ensure merchandise is neatly presented and correctly priced
Make purchasing decisions involving large quantities and volume-based discounts
Provide sales, staff and productivity reports to management
Hold staff accountable for cash box deficits
Balance sales, print and record receipts, and track daily revenue
Make daily bank deposits and reconcile bank statements
Coordinate and execute ordering and receiving of cannabis and accessories
Supervise all staff and coordinate work for productive operations at all hours
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must have valid SellSafe Certification
Completion of high school and College/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Minimum of 5 years work experience in a supervisory role in a retail environment
Minimum 3+ years of work experience in Managerial role in full capacity
Proven excellent customer service skills
Excellent time management and prioritizing skills
Demonstrated ability to train and motivate staff
Skills to monitor and assess staff performance
Basic office administration skills
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite
Highly effective teamwork skills
Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
Politically and culturally sensitive
Able to plan and organize work effectively and ensure its completion
Well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills
Ability to learn and adapt to sales software quickly
Ability to work any shift based on business needs, Monday to Sunday
Ability to work nights, holidays and weekends and different location
Professional, responsive, and positive work attitude is essential
Meticulous records maintenance skills
