About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage daily operations and profitability according to established goals and business objectives
Manage staff and supervise all establishment personnel
Ensure customer satisfaction and professionally resolve complaints
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulations
Maintain stock through inventory management
Conduct scheduled inventories and provide inventory reports
Increase sales, expand markets, and promote the business
Verify invoices against packing slips and track expenditures
Maintain neat merchandise presentation and accurate pricing
Make purchasing decisions involving volume-based discounts
Provide sales, staff, and productivity reports to management
Hold staff accountable for cash-box deficits
Balance sales, print and record receipts, and track daily revenue
Make daily bank deposits and reconcile bank statements
Coordinate and execute ordering and receiving of cannabis and accessories
Coordinate work to ensure productive operations at all hours
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must have valid SellSafe Certification
Completion of high school and College/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Minimum of 5 years work experience in a supervisory role in a retail environment
Minimum 3+ years of work experience in a managerial role in full capacity
Valid First Aid certification considered an asset
Proven excellent customer service skills
Excellent time management and prioritizing skills
Demonstrated ability to train and motivate staff
Skills to monitor and assess staff performance
Basic office administration skills
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite
Highly effective teamwork skills
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
Politically and culturally sensitive
Ability to plan and organize work effectively and ensure completion
Diplomacy, negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills
Ability to learn and adapt to sales software quickly
Ability to work any shift based on business needs, Monday to Sunday
