About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage daily operations and profitability according to established goals and business objectives
- Manage staff and supervise all establishment employees
- Ensure customer satisfaction and professionally resolve complaints
- Maintain neat product presentation and correct pricing
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulations
- Manage inventory, take scheduled inventory, and provide inventory reports
- Increase sales, expand markets, and promote the business within provided guidelines
- Verify invoices against packing slips and track expenditures
- Make purchasing decisions involving volume-based discounts
- Provide sales, staff, and productivity reports to management
- Hold staff accountable for cash box deficits
- Balance sales, print and record receipts, and track daily revenue
- Make daily bank deposits and reconcile bank statements
- Coordinate and execute ordering and receiving of cannabis and accessories
- Coordinate staff work to ensure productive operations at all hours
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must have valid provincial Cannabis Certification
- Completion of high school and College/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
- Minimum of 3 years work experience in a supervisory role in a retail environment
- Minimum 2+ years of work experience in a managerial role in full capacity
- Valid First Aid certification considered an asset
- Proven excellent customer service skills
- Excellent time management and prioritizing skills
- Demonstrated ability to train and motivate staff
- Skills to monitor and assess staff performance
- Basic office administration skills
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite
- Highly effective teamwork skills
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
- Political and cultural sensitivity
- Ability to plan and organize work effectively and ensure completion
