About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide healthcare regulatory expertise directly to clients and the Yellow Brick project team
  • Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations, safety codes, and healthcare-specific standards
  • Advise on healthcare regulations, standards, and best practices to improve compliance, patient safety, quality of care, and efficiency
  • Lead complex, high-profile, and high-risk healthcare facility regulatory projects
  • Research regulatory requirements and provide compliance recommendations
  • Develop and implement compliance plans, licensing plans, regulatory strategies, and training programs
  • Coordinate and participate in mock surveys, HR and medical staff file audits, document reviews, and design-plan reviews
  • Lead planning and execution of healthcare facility transitions and activation projects
  • Manage project budgets, hours, expenses, plans, timelines, schedules, resources, and deliverables
  • Support tabletop exercises, workflow planning, dress rehearsals, and patient moves
  • Identify licensing and regulatory actions for healthcare facilities and services
  • Assemble and review regulatory resource materials and standards
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for specialty services and health industry standards
  • Identify compliance risks and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify risks and recommend solutions
  • Track project work and prepare monthly summaries
  • Contribute to contract deliverables
  • Maintain confidentiality of client and company information
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams and perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent expertise and experience in the industry required
  • Significant years of industry experience required
  • Familiarity with regulatory agencies and industry standards such as AIA, ACHE, ASHE, TJC, CDPH, HCAi, CMS, AAMI, and AAAHC required
  • Experience with large projects within the healthcare industry preferred
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Smartsheet
  • Knowledge of Visio and Access
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively as a leader, team player, and independently
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with clients and team members
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 80% of the workday and be ambulatory for up to 90% of the workday when onsite for mock surveys
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time for full-time staff
  • Willingness to work irregular hours on occasion and respond flexibly to urgent regulatory questions/issues
  • Ability to complete mandatory training and adhere to internal policies and Code of Conduct
