About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and maintain category strategies for professional services and underwriting support suppliers
- Ensure sourcing strategies address materiality, substitutability, concentration risk, and operational criticality in line with PRA SS2/21
- Maintain a forward-looking sourcing and renewal pipeline for critical and key suppliers
- Lead proportionate and defensible RFI, RFP, and RFQ sourcing activities
- Negotiate commercial and contractual terms covering scope, fee models, rate cards, SLAs, KPIs, audit rights, termination, exit, and transition provisions
- Embed PRA SS2/21 principles across the third-party lifecycle
- Conduct pre-contractual risk assessment and due diligence
- Identify material outsourcing and critical third-party arrangements
- Work with Legal, Risk, Compliance, InfoSec, and Data Protection stakeholders
- Use Evisort Contract Intelligence to manage contracts, obligations, renewals, termination timelines, and commercial and risk insights
- Lead or support supplier review forums, performance reviews, QBRs, and remediation plans
- Coordinate with IT service management, cyber, and data teams on supplier performance and issue resolution
- Act as primary procurement partner for key internal stakeholders
- Provide procurement advice on sourcing routes, commercial options, and supplier strategy
- Track and report savings, cost avoidance, pipeline delivery, and supplier performance
- Maintain procurement management information through Workday and other procurement systems
- Support procurement capability uplift through knowledge sharing and mentoring
- Execute outsourcing strategies and identify marketplace solutions
- Conduct market research, supplier landscape analysis, benchmarking, and total-cost-of-ownership analysis
- Manage contracts throughout their lifecycle, from tendering and contracting through exit management
- Govern vendor performance and monitor vendor compliance with procedures and best practices
- Direct major contract changes and maintain contract change tracking
Requirements
What you’ll need- Significant experience as a Category Manager or Senior Procurement Manager covering professional services and complex third-party arrangements
- Strong understanding of outsourcing and third-party risk management within a regulated environment
- Demonstrable experience aligning procurement activity to regulatory frameworks such as PRA, FCA, or Lloyd’s
- Strong commercial negotiation skills, particularly in advisory and underwriting-adjacent services
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with senior and technical audiences
- Experience in regulated industries such as financial services, insurance, or the London Market
- Knowledge of third-party risk, operational resilience, and outsourcing governance
- Experience embedding procurement governance without slowing delivery
- CIPS qualification (Level 4+) would be beneficial
- Experience with Evisort Contract Intelligence
- Experience with Workday and other procurement systems
- Knowledge of RFI, RFP, and RFQ sourcing processes
- Knowledge of SLAs, KPIs, QBRs, contract management, and supplier performance management
