About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own social copywriting, editing, and posting end-to-end
Develop and evolve Cape's brand voice across social channels
Copy edit and upload blog posts
Write and edit email marketing copy
Format and help build email flows and sequences
Proofread social, blog, and email content
Identify and shape opportunities for Cape to weigh in on public privacy conversations
Translate technical and product features into compelling narratives for social and video
Order business cards, conference materials, and similar items
Reply to inbound email inquiries and represent the product accurately
Build systems such as calendars, trackers, and briefs to scale the function
Grow Cape's social following and engagement
Help establish Cape as a credible voice in broader privacy conversations

Requirements

What you’ll need

Excellent, distinctive writing
Strong organizational skills
Comfortable building and maintaining spreadsheet trackers for projects and content calendars
High attention to detail
Creative instincts and ability to pitch ideas
Video filming and editing experience (bonus)
Portfolio of past work (plus)
Interest in or familiarity with privacy, security, or tech policy conversations (bonus)
Unrestricted work authorization for the United States or ability to obtain sponsorship
Ability to work 3 days a week in an office in New York, NY or Arlington, VA
