About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver a wide range of pension administration activities, including complex casework across member events and pension processes
- Handle bereavement cases, changes of address, valuations, quotations, projections and policy amendments
- Investigate and resolve complex member queries and complaints
- Communicate with members, beneficiaries and third parties verbally and in writing
- Identify and report risks, complaints and breaches in line with internal processes and regulatory requirements
- Adhere to Quality Management Systems and Capita and regulatory compliance standards
- Build knowledge across different areas of the pension lifecycle
- Support wider team objectives and contribute to a collaborative team environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience in pension administration
- Strong knowledge of Defined Benefit (DB) pension schemes
- Strong experience carrying out and checking manual pension calculations, with a high degree of accuracy
- Intermediate Excel skills, with experience using it for data management and administrative tasks
- Confidence in investigating complex issues and working through problem-solving scenarios
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to draft clear, professional correspondence and consider the wider member impact
- Excellent attention to detail and numeracy skills
- Ability to manage workload effectively, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to collaborate and contribute positively to the wider team
- Previous experience of bereavement administration within a pension environment would be advantageous
- Eligibility for additional Security Check (SC) clearance; applicants will normally need to have resided in the UK continuously for the past five years
