About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Complete administrative tasks in line with service levels and business priorities
  • Maintain accurate records across business systems and databases
  • Process documentation, correspondence and requests
  • Support shared mailboxes and action or escalate queries
  • Produce routine reports, trackers and management information
  • Store and manage documentation in accordance with GDPR and information governance requirements
  • Support meeting administration, including scheduling meetings, preparing documents and recording actions
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to obtain information and resolve administrative queries
  • Support governance and audit activities through accurate record preparation and maintenance
  • Assist with onboarding, offboarding, people administration and operational support
  • Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and support continuous improvement
  • Work collaboratively across departments to meet contractual, business and compliance requirements
  • Undertake other reasonable duties as required by the business

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Previous experience in an administrative, business support or customer service role
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and working to deadlines
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience handling confidential and sensitive information appropriately
  • Experience working within a regulated, contractual or operational environment (desirable)
  • Knowledge of DWP, DfC or healthcare-related processes (desirable)
  • Experience producing reports and maintaining spreadsheets (desirable)
  • Experience of SharePoint and workflow management systems (desirable)
  • Compliance with Capita, DWP and DfC policies, procedures and mandatory training requirements
