About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as a forward-deployed AI strategist for individual lines of business
Assess AI maturity and identify highest-value opportunities
Develop AI strategies tailored to business priorities
Prioritize AI opportunities across investing, distribution, and operations
Size revenue and capacity upside and build business cases and roadmaps
Track markets, competitors, industry leaders, asset managers, wealth managers, technology platforms, and frontier model providers
Surface early competitive signals and implications
Shape Capital Group’s point of view on the strategic implications of AI
Run 3–5-year scenarios for how AI may change the business
Translate strategic priorities into actionable priorities and establish success measures with product, engineering, data, business, and enterprise AI teams
Help preserve strategic intent across the portfolio and partner with Finance to realize business value
Incorporate governance, regulation, data readiness, and client trust into AI recommendations
Produce concise communications for leadership groups and explain complex AI topics in plain business terms

Requirements

What you’ll need

Significant experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, or internal strategy
Demonstrated progression and experience advising senior leaders
Experience framing complex strategic questions, developing business cases, and advising senior leaders
Experience in financial services strongly preferred
Understanding of the business implications of generative and agentic AI
Ability to engage credibly with product, data, and technology partners
Intellectual curiosity and demonstrated commitment to building AI fluency
Comfortable working through ambiguity, building scenarios and financial models, and influencing senior leaders without direct authority
Clear, concise executive communication
Curious, open-minded, collaborative mindset and willingness to follow ideas that challenge current plans
