About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee complex medical/religious accommodations and LOA cases for Canada and the US from start to finish
  • Identify and prioritize situations requiring action
  • Build rapport with stakeholders and educate leaders regarding accommodation/leave laws and benefit programs
  • Resolve complex HR and benefits issues
  • Serve as a point of contact for accommodations/LOA cases, general benefits, and other HR questions
  • Interpret HR policies and procedures and provide customized guidance
  • Participate in and lead centralization and continuous process improvement projects
  • Leverage technology to improve the associate experience
  • Analyze data, identify trends, derive insights, and recommend practical solutions
  • Partner with global HR teams, specialist teams, and business leaders to support North America

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree, master’s degree or HR certifications
  • Minimum of 5 years HR experience preferred
  • Case management experience, preferably managing medical/religious accommodations and/or LOA cases
  • Strong communication skills
  • Advanced consulting skills
  • Broad HR knowledge base
  • Knowledge of benefits plans and summary plan descriptions
  • Ability to interpret HR policies and procedures
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience leading impactful projects and process improvement efforts
  • Experience conducting trend analysis with large sets of information
  • Ability to work in office Monday–Thursday and from home on Friday
