About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead AFSG’s broad data programs from the business side
- Partner with the Enterprise Change Office, Enterprise Data Office, AFSG Technology, and AFSG business areas
- Turn enterprise and technology initiatives into clear plans, timely decisions, and well-supported transitions
- Establish plans, governance, and cadence for multiple concurrent workstreams
- Lead primarily through influence across teams without direct management authority
- Deliver business outcomes and ensure users remain productive
- Coordinate traditional program management with agile engineering teams and backlogs
- Manage change, communications, and readiness for changes affecting many business users
- Identify risks and dependencies early and present options and recommendations
- Support data and reporting initiatives across AFSG
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of project or program management experience
- Experience independently leading large, multi-team business and technology initiatives to completion
- 4+ years managing people, fostering growth and development, and aligning direct reports to program objectives
- Experience leading data, analytics, or reporting programs, such as platform migrations, modernization efforts, or data product rollouts
- Fluency in traditional program planning, including integrated plans, milestones, critical path, dependency maps, RAID logs, decision logs, and readiness gates
- Comfort working alongside agile engineering teams and their backlogs
- Understanding of analytical reporting dependencies on underlying data
- Ability to trace reports to source data and distinguish operational from analytical data
- Experience building and running change management, communication, and readiness plans
- Ability to influence senior and executive leaders and collaborate with analysts, report developers, and engineers
- Ability to identify risks and dependencies and present options with recommendations
- Clear communication of technical trade-offs in business terms
- Asset management or financial services experience preferred
- Experience with a service organization, such as a contact center, transfer agency, recordkeeping, or shared services operation, preferred
