About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build strategies supporting GPN leadership priorities and influencing development of platforms, breakthrough technology, and concepts
  • Identify business challenges and opportunities and use analysis to make strategic or tactical recommendations
  • Work with Pricing, Corporate Development, Sales, and other Capital One colleagues to improve quality, volume, service, and profitability
  • Drive deal analytics, pricing, and negotiations across strategic network relationships
  • Work in deal-specific pods around live negotiations
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive problem solving and alignment
  • Move quickly to achieve outcomes, not merely produce analysis

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 3 years of professional experience performing analysis
  • Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field or Master's Degree in a quantitative field/MBA with a quantitative concentration, with the degree obtained by the scheduled start date
  • Preferred: Master’s Degree in Business or a quantitative field
  • Preferred: 5+ years of experience in analysis
  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience in financial services
  • Preferred: 1+ year of experience in consulting
  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience in people management
  • Strategically minded, quantitatively rigorous, and able to communicate holistic cross-functional information concisely
  • Proven analytics-based decision-making and problem-solving track record
  • Strong business judgment, leadership, integrity, communication, influencing, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to drive and execute agendas in uncertain and fluid environments
  • Successful track record in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and dynamic environments
  • Payments experience in industry, top-tier consulting firms, or investment banks is ideal
  • Capital One will consider sponsoring a new qualified applicant for employment authorization
