About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Optimize inbound channels such as EASE, Email, and Site through models and frameworks
  • Support the Modeling function and evaluate potential model improvements
  • Develop comprehensive model roadmaps
  • Advise Lines of Business on potential operational impacts
  • Converge business, credit, and modeling results
  • Develop business strategies driving growth, profitability, and competitive success
  • Manage and develop 1–2 analysts, including coaching and mentoring
  • Develop and implement product and pricing strategies for lending products
  • Lead product-level modeling and analytics
  • Lead direct-to-consumer marketing efforts and strategic intent for retail-channel products
  • Build targeted insights for new customer experiences, technology, and go-to-market strategies
  • Improve credit performance using consumer credit trends, historical behavior, risk models, and rigorous monitoring
  • Manage and sequence business intent delivery, build business requirements, and execute product strategy
  • Oversee multiple projects and programs concurrently
  • Collaborate with IT, Sales, Operations, Finance, and other Capital One teams
  • Drive critical decisions, hold business partners accountable, and deliver short- and long-term results

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 3 years of professional experience performing analysis
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, or Master's degree in a quantitative field/MBA with a quantitative concentration, currently held or expected by the scheduled start date
  • Quantitative field such as Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Preferred: Master's degree in Business or a quantitative field
  • Preferred: 5+ years of experience in analysis
  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience in financial services
  • Preferred: 1+ year of experience in consulting
  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience in people management
  • Strong understanding of credit implications associated with product and messaging decisions
  • Proven analytical decision-making and problem-solving ability
  • Strong quantitative orientation
  • Strong business judgment, leadership, and integrity
  • People leadership and team-building experience
  • Strong executive written and oral communication skills
  • Strategic influencing, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and dynamic environment
  • Previous consulting experience is a plus
