About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support Capital One Business Travel’s long-term marketing strategy
- Build a holistic marketing strategy with marketing partners
- Identify marketing opportunities across customer segments, channels, positioning/messaging, and treatments
- Liaise between COBT/SBC marketing and COBT strategy to drive ideation and execution of offers
- Understand and engage Field-managed customers to improve travel experience, consideration, engagement, and travel spend
- Lead 1–2 analysts responsible for functional analysis and marketing execution
- Analyze competitor product and messaging strategies and develop market-positioning strategies
- Partner with the insights team to understand target audiences and validate product positioning and messaging
- Partner with the Sponsorships team to develop and execute conference and industry event strategy
- Support and drive strategic initiatives across the organization and ensure successful launches
- Develop business strategies driving growth, profitability, and competitive success
- Coach and mentor associates and develop and retain talent
- Develop and implement product and pricing strategies and lead product-level modeling/analytics
- Lead direct-to-consumer marketing efforts and build targeted customer insights
- Drive improvements in credit performance using risk models, hypotheses, monitoring, and analysis
- Manage business-intent delivery, business requirements, product strategy, and multiple concurrent projects
- Collaborate with IT, Sales, Operations, Finance, and other teams to improve quality, volume, service, and profitability
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 3 years of professional experience performing analysis
- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a required quantitative Bachelor's or Master's degree, or an MBA with a quantitative concentration, expected by the scheduled start date
- Quantitative degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field
- High comfort with data analysis in SQL
- Ability to coordinate across diverse functional groups and self-direct between strategic and tactical initiatives
- Strong written, verbal, executive communication, strategic influencing, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Data-driven problem solving and decision-making ability
- Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and connect marketing activities to business strategy
- Ability to execute an agenda end-to-end in an uncertain and fluid environment
- Creative thinking for marketing strategy and development
- Customer-first mindset and ability to use data to improve customer experiences
- Capital One will consider sponsoring a new qualified applicant for employment authorization
- Preferred: Master's degree in Business or a quantitative field
- Preferred: 5+ years of experience in analysis
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience in financial services
