About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop business strategies driving growth, profitability, and competitive success for Capital One
  • Help build the next generation of valuations models in Partnerships Card
  • Develop and implement product and pricing strategies for lending products
  • Lead product-level modeling and analytics
  • Lead direct-to-consumer marketing efforts and strategic intent for retail-channel products
  • Build targeted insights for new customer experiences, technology, and go-to-market strategies
  • Improve credit performance by analyzing consumer credit trends, creating risk models, and testing hypotheses
  • Manage and sequence business-intent delivery, build business requirements, and execute product strategy
  • Oversee multiple projects and programs concurrently
  • Work with IT, Sales, Operations, Finance, Data Science, policy teams, and other Capital One colleagues
  • May manage and develop 1–2 analysts
  • Coach and mentor associates, fostering innovation and developing talent
  • Drive decisions, hold business partners accountable, and deliver short- and long-term goals

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 3 years of professional experience performing analysis
  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field or a Master's Degree in a quantitative field/MBA with a quantitative concentration, with the required degree obtained by the scheduled start date
  • Quantitative field such as Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field
  • Preferred: Master’s Degree in Business or quantitative field
  • Preferred: 5+ years of experience in analysis
  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience in financial services
  • Preferred: 1+ year of experience in consulting
  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience in people management
  • Skilled in Python and analytical problem-solving
  • Strong quantitative orientation and rigorous analytic marketing and credit risk management capabilities
  • Strong business judgment, leadership, integrity, executive communication, strategic influencing, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Successful track record in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and dynamic environment
