About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead analysis for migration from legacy banking systems to a modern cloud-native platform
- Sequence migration activities, perform data mapping, and track and validate migration across frontbook and backbook
- Partner with Technical Program Managers, Engineering, and Data teams
- Develop business strategies to drive growth, profitability, and competitive success
- Develop and implement product and pricing strategies for lending products
- Lead product-level modeling and analytics
- Lead direct-to-consumer marketing efforts and define strategic intent for retail-channel products
- Build targeted insights for new customer experiences, technology, and go-to-market strategies
- Create risk models and analyze consumer credit trends to improve credit performance
- Manage and sequence delivery of business intent, build business requirements, and execute product strategy
- Oversee multiple projects and programs concurrently
- Collaborate with IT, Sales, Operations, Finance, and other Capital One teams
- Coach and mentor analysts and drive talent development and retention
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 3 years of professional experience performing analysis
- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a required degree with expectation of completion by the scheduled start date
- Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field or Master's Degree in a quantitative field/MBA with a quantitative concentration
- Quantitative field may include Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
- Capital One will consider sponsoring a new qualified applicant for employment authorization
- Preferred: Master's Degree in Business or a quantitative field
- Preferred: 5+ years of experience in analysis
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience in financial services
- Preferred: 1+ year of experience in consulting
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience in people management
- Previous consulting experience is a plus
- Strong quantitative, analytical, strategic thinking, business judgment, leadership, integrity, executive communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage and develop 1–2 analysts and build high-performing teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects and programs concurrently
- Experience driving decisions and results in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and dynamic environment
