About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the analytical brain for Performance Assessment, Associate Growth, and Organizational Planning experiences
  • Frame important questions, lead analysis, and translate complex talent and organizational data into actionable insights
  • Identify unmet needs, size opportunities, and inform product strategy, prioritization, and roadmap decisions
  • Build metrics, models, and narratives explaining why events occurred and recommending actions
  • Partner with product and engineering to turn one-off analyses into durable, reusable data products and insight experiences
  • Manage and sequence analysis delivery across multiple experiences and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, design, People Science & Analytics, HRBPs, and executive leaders
  • Ensure insights are trusted, understood, and acted upon

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 3 years of professional experience performing analysis
  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in a quantitative field, or an MBA with a quantitative concentration; required degree expected by scheduled start date
  • Quantitative field such as Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field
  • Strong quantitative orientation and conceptual thinking skills
  • Proven track record of analytical decision-making and problem-solving
  • Strong business judgment and integrity
  • Impeccable written and oral communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to achieve short- and long-term goals and execute in an uncertain, fluid environment
  • Capital One will consider sponsoring a new qualified applicant for employment authorization
  • Preferred: Master's Degree in Business or a quantitative field
  • Preferred: 5+ years of experience in analysis
  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience in financial services
  • Preferred: 1+ year of experience in consulting
  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience in people management
