About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and implement executive communications strategies that bring business imperatives to life
- Serve as a trusted communications partner to senior executives and leadership teams
- Provide real-time counsel on reputation, engagement, and change management
- Plan and prepare internal communications, narratives, key messages, and announcements
- Create executive-led meetings, digital/video assets, presentations, and special events
- Highlight tangible wins, lessons learned, and evidence of progress
- Balance strategic planning with tactical execution and deliver results
- Operate autonomously and proactively to push projects across the finish line
- Evaluate communications performance using data and metrics
- Recommend adjustments to communications strategies, messaging, and channels based on feedback
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or military experience
- At least 5 years of experience in communications
- Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills
- At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position
- Preferred: Masters degree in communications, marketing, public relations, english or journalism
- Preferred: 6+ years of experience in communications working with executive leaders
