Key responsibilities & impact

Drive current and future strategy by leveraging analytical skills
Assist with building and using models to test and validate data
Work with vast amounts of data in new and evolving environments
Help grow and develop the brand in new and emerging markets
Leverage analytics to create an improved customer experience
Lead and mentor a team of junior analysts
Participate in the full life cycle of projects and deliver end results
Collaborate across business units
Mine data to obtain specific and crucial organizational information
Identify and implement process, data, and reporting improvements
Work with large and complex databases containing millions to billions of records
Improve operational efficiency and effectiveness
Conduct analyses to evaluate processes and tests
Extract and analyze data to gauge product offerings
Consult on the design and implementation of production and data storage systems
Develop and implement strategic tests of products, initiatives, and marketing materials
Build end-to-end interactive web apps, intelligent automation pipelines, experimentation frameworks, platforms, guardrails, and visualizations for Capital One’s Tech and AI leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need

Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field plus at least 6 years of experience performing data analytics, or a Master’s Degree plus at least 4 years of experience performing data analytics; required degree expected by scheduled start date
At least 4 years of experience performing professional data analysis work
At least 4 years of experience performing programming
Preferred: Master’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics discipline
Preferred: At least 7 years of professional data analysis work experience
Preferred: At least 4 years of experience with Python, R, Spark or SQL
Preferred: At least 1 year of experience in people management
Preferred: At least 1 year of project management experience
Preferred: At least 1 year of experience in Tableau
Preferred: Proficient utilizing and developing within AWS service
Strong problem solving and conceptual thinking abilities
Communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects independently and in teams
Business Intelligence background strongly encouraged
