Key responsibilities & impact

Lead, manage, and grow multiple teams of product-focused software engineers
Mentor and guide engineers' professional and technical development
Partner with product managers to understand application capabilities and testing scenarios
Continuously improve software engineering practices
Design, develop, test, implement, and support full-stack technical solutions across Agile teams
Lead the craftsmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions
Stay current with technology trends, experiment with new technologies, and participate in technology communities
Encourage innovation, cutting-edge technology adoption, inclusion, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity
Improve the velocity of the team's and other teams' work
Lead deployment of new and existing applications into AWS environments
Oversee migration of monolithic applications to microservice architectures and build new microservices
Shape long-term technical strategy and architecture standards for enterprise platforms
Align product roadmaps with scalable technology capabilities in partnership with senior engineering and business leaders
Drive talent strategy, succession planning, skill development, and equitable opportunity across engineering teams

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Engineering)
At least 5 years of people management experience
At least 7 years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture
At least 7 years of experience in enterprise architecture and design patterns
At least 7 years of experience in cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
At least 7 years of experience in data architecture
Preferred: Master's Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
Preferred: 10+ years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture, enterprise architecture and design patterns, web technologies, distributed HPC and ML systems, cloud computing, and data architecture
Preferred: 10+ years of professional coding experience in Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, or Scala
Preferred: 8+ years of experience with databases and database management systems
Preferred: 10+ years of professional experience across the full system development lifecycle
Preferred: 8+ years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies
Preferred: 10+ years of experience with networking protocols and third-party distributed systems integration
Preferred: 5+ years of experience mentoring senior engineers and driving professional development
Preferred: 2+ years of experience leading cross-domain architectural reviews and establishing coding and design standards
Expertise in the strategic application of agentic AI coding tools
