About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead programs delivering critical business goals and large-scale products and platforms
Establish TPM operating mechanisms, maturity models, and tooling across portfolios
Develop and align program roadmaps with business objectives, definition of done, technical solutions, and dependency sequencing
Lead cross-platform technical investment planning and architectural alignment for platform convergence and reuse
Serve as an executive-level escalation point for program risks
Influence technology leaders to make data-driven tradeoffs among speed, cost, and resiliency
Define measurable platform-success outcomes, including availability, scalability, cost efficiency, and developer velocity
Ensure delivery accountability across multiple engineering teams
Expand the TPM discipline by teaching the organization effective TPM practices

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in a technical field
At least 7 years of experience managing technical programs
7+ years of experience designing and building solutions using distributed computing or service-oriented architecture (SOA)
3+ years of experience building distributed systems and highly available services using cloud computing services/architecture, preferably AWS
3+ years of experience building highly scalable products and platforms
3+ years of experience with Agile delivery
3+ years of experience delivering large and complex programs
Experience building systems and solutions within a highly regulated environment
Experience driving platform standardization across multiple product portfolios or lines of business
Track record of building TPM maturity at scale within engineering organizations
PMP, Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma certification preferred
MBA or Master’s Degree in a related technical field preferred
3+ years of people management experience or influencing an organization as an individual contributor
Exceptional communication and influence skills
