Key responsibilities & impact

Lead architecture, end-to-end design, and implementation of highly available, resilient, scalable cloud-native microservices, APIs, data contracts, and shared platform services
Provide technical vision for modernizing foundational customer data platforms and evolving database technologies and distributed systems
Partner with digital product managers, database architects, and engineering leaders on technology direction, system architectures, and self-service capabilities
Drive automation, observability, and engineering practices to reduce manual processes, improve developer productivity, and ensure system reliability and performance
Leverage Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, open-source RDBMS, NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services
Influence technical strategy across multiple engineering teams and mentor technical talent
Experiment with emerging technologies and contribute to internal and external engineering communities

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field
At least 6 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply
At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies
Preferred: Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
Preferred: 9+ years of software development experience in two or more listed programming languages
Preferred: 5+ years contributing to open-source frameworks
Preferred: 5+ years with modern front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks
Preferred: 5+ years designing and building synchronous/asynchronous APIs and API platform architectures
Preferred: 5+ years leveraging GraphDB platforms and 4+ years with traditional databases and DBMS
Preferred: 4+ years designing, architecting, and implementing distributed cloud-native platforms at scale
Preferred: 4+ years with AWS, GCP, Azure, cloud productivity tools, or virtualization technologies
Preferred: 4+ years with serverless frameworks, container-based cloud architectures, and large-scale data-processing technologies
Preferred: 4+ years with CI/CD pipelines, IaC, automated testing frameworks, and Git-based version control systems
Preferred: 4+ years troubleshooting cloud environments, including observability and reliability practices at scale
Preferred: 3+ years mentoring senior engineers and driving professional development
Preferred: 1+ year leading architectural design reviews and establishing/enforcing coding standards and design patterns
Direct experience with modern AI-based coding tools, IDE copilots, and interactive AI tooling
Proven experience leading cross-functional engineering initiatives and influencing technology strategy
