About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Stay current with technology trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal and external technology communities, and mentor engineers
Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions for internal data access and analysis customers
Own and evolve the enforcement layer enabling AI agents to run against consumption platforms in a governed manner
Lead delivery of MCP wrappers and implementations and integration with model context enrichment systems
Drive security and dependency hardening work, including SSRF, log-injection, ReDoS, auth-bypass fixes, Mend CVE triage, and VulnHunter findings
Close correctness and feature-parity gaps across Snowflake and Databricks query engines, including routing, rate limiting, query filtering, and concurrency/memory efficiency
Build observability and reliability practices using OpenTelemetry, New Relic dashboards, PagerDuty alerting, and cross-region resilience
Work primarily in Python on AWS ECS Fargate

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Engineering)
At least 6 years of experience in software engineering; internship experience does not apply
At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies

Preferred: Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field
Preferred: 9+ years of experience coding with more than two of Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, Scala
Preferred: 5+ years contributing to open source frameworks
Preferred: 5+ years with front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks
Preferred: 5+ years creating synchronous and asynchronous APIs
Preferred: 4+ years with databases and database management systems
