Key responsibilities & impact

Lead diverse technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems for regulatory needs
Stay current with technology trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in technology communities, and mentor engineers
Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions
Use Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, open-source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services
Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and set standards for design, development, and operational excellence
Partner with architects to define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks
Identify improvement opportunities, refactor systems, reduce technical debt, and improve performance
Influence long-term technology strategy through evaluation of emerging tools and practices

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field
At least 4 years of experience in software engineering; internship experience does not apply
At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies
No new employment authorization sponsorship or immigration-related support available
Preferred: Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field
Preferred: 7+ years of experience coding with more than two listed languages
Preferred: Experience with databases, AWS/GCP/Azure, open source frameworks, front-end JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks, APIs, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing, Git-based version control, cloud troubleshooting, AI coding tools, mentoring, observability, cross-functional engineering efforts, coding standards, and design patterns
