About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide guidance and advice to business partners on implementing HR risk policies and programs
- Apply technology, automation, and data analytics capabilities to innovate HR risk management, improve process efficiency, and deliver actionable insights
- Provide day-to-day risk support across the Enterprise Risk Management framework
- Partner with second-line risk management functions, including Legal and Compliance, on employment and privacy law adherence
- Ensure the FUSE risk management system of record accurately reflects process applicability and the control environment
- Support lead VRAs and business partners on key risk activities
- Develop and enhance HR risk management reporting and analytics
- Design, build, and execute automated workflow solutions for risk assessments, control tracking, and reporting
- Support HR risk assessments for new or changing intent
- Review and update regulatory applicability with HR, Legal, and Compliance
- Identify and document appropriate controls for the Uncovered RMAP process in FUSE
- Support HR issues and events in accordance with Enterprise Risk Management standards
- Support HR policies through documentation maintained in Wdesk
- Support related audits and examinations
- Assess the impact of regulatory changes to employment and privacy laws and document implementation plans
- Advise on HR functional-area documentation and ensure process documentation meets enterprise requirements
- Support Enterprise Assessments including Process Criticality, Process Level Assessments, and Risk and Control Self Assessment
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
- At least 5 years of risk management experience or at least 5 years of human resource experience or 5 years of business operations experience
- At least 2 years of process management experience
- At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 6+ years of Human Resource experience preferred
- 3+ years of experience in process management preferred
- 3+ years of experience supporting, partnering, and interacting with key stakeholders or internal business partners preferred
- 3+ years of experience building dashboards and reporting solutions using business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau preferred
- 3+ years of experience leveraging data querying tools and scripting languages such as SQL, Python, Google AppScript/AppSheet to automate workflows and analyze datasets preferred
- 2+ years of experience influencing senior leadership preferred
- Agile or Design Thinking experience preferred
- Experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance software tools preferred
- Experience in controls development, controls management, and reporting activities preferred
