About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, document, and maintain enterprise-wide Google Workspace and Microsoft M365 collaboration platforms
  • Translate business objectives and risk tolerance into platform configurations, security practices, and data handling policies
  • Develop IAM strategy, including multi-factor authentication, SSO integration, and context-aware access policies
  • Architect, implement, and manage Google Drive content management to prevent unauthorized sharing of sensitive data
  • Maintain lifecycle-based governance for third-party applications accessing Workspace data, including risk assessments and security audits
  • Ensure Google Workspace meets regulatory and legal framework requirements through configuration, operation, and auditing
  • Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and HR on Google Vault retention, eDiscovery, and legal holds
  • Identify automation opportunities and partner with the K&P SWE team
  • Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and answer user questions
  • Monitor system performance, security, and data integrity, proactively addressing potential problems
  • Implement Google Workspace feature updates and improvements
  • Develop documentation and training materials
  • Remediate vulnerabilities and monitor platform support Slack channels
  • Align platforms with Architecture team standards
  • Collaborate with Software Engineers to ensure software works seamlessly on platforms
  • Work with product owners to understand application capabilities and testing scenarios
  • Improve platform engineering practices and mitigate integration risks
  • Design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across Agile teams
  • Stay current with technology trends, experiment with new technologies, participate in technology communities, and mentor engineers
  • Lead engineers and people leaders in building platform strategy and driving well-managed platforms
  • Use scripting languages such as Python and Bash

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics)
  • At least 6 years of experience designing and maintaining cross-platform or cloud integrations
  • At least 5 years of experience developing or supporting API-based integrations using scripting or orchestration tools (AWS Lambda, Step Functions, MuleSoft)
  • At least 4 years of experience automating system configuration or data workflows
  • At least 4 years of direct, hands-on experience architecting, administering, and securing a large-scale (1,000+ user) Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 collaboration environment
  • At least 1 year of experience implementing monitoring, observability, and automated remediation for integration reliability and performance
  • No employer sponsorship or immigration-related support for employment authorization
  • Preferred: 1+ years influencing integration strategy and architecture within a product or platform team
  • Preferred: 7+ years working in a cloud-based environment (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Preferred: 8+ years with deployment tooling (Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory)
  • Preferred: 4+ years in Agile practices
  • Preferred: 8+ years designing and optimizing enterprise-scale integration solutions
  • Experience mentoring senior engineers or leading cross-functional technical initiatives
  • Experience managing vendor relationships or cross-functional teams supporting integration or automation platforms
