About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define, deliver, and operate technology solutions for payment network systems, applications, APIs, and infrastructure
Set technical and UI architecture strategies and establish modern frontend/API standards
Evaluate third-party supplier solutions and define destination and waypoint architectures
Design and architect solutions across the commercial lifecycle for merchants, acquirers, payment gateways, and card issuers
Champion user interfaces, system integrations, and automated capabilities serving internal associates and external network participants
Work with product owners to understand application capabilities and testing scenarios
Continuously improve software engineering practices
Design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across a full stack
Lead the craftsmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions
Design, develop, and implement integration solutions connecting enterprise applications including Salesforce CRM and Google Cloud services
Serve as senior technical authority for integration design, automation, and system interoperability
Lead reusable integration frameworks, libraries, and patterns
Partner with enterprise architects to define integration architecture standards and evaluate emerging technologies
Mentor members of the engineering community and encourage innovation

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics)
At least 6 years of experience designing and maintaining cross-platform or cloud integrations
At least 5 years of experience developing or supporting API-based integrations using scripting or orchestration tools (AWS Lambda, Step Functions, MuleSoft)
At least 4 years of experience automating system configuration or data workflows
At least 1 year of experience implementing monitoring, observability, and automated remediation for integration reliability and performance
1+ years of experience influencing integration strategy and architecture within a product or platform team
7+ years of experience working in a cloud-based environment (AWS, Azure, GCP)
8+ years of experience with deployment tooling (Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory)
4+ years of experience in Agile practices
8+ years of experience designing and optimizing enterprise-scale integration solutions
Experience mentoring senior engineers or leading cross-functional technical initiatives
Experience managing vendor relationships or cross-functional teams supporting integration or automation platforms
